Season’s Greetings from Heritage Choir
January 6, 2020
It’s December, which means holidays. Holidays come with holiday songs. Some songs are more popular than others. Every year, a different collection of songs is performed at Heritage for the winter choir concert. This year is supposed to be just as fun and cheerful! Songs from all around will be brought together in one fantastic performance. It will be on December 19th at 7pm.
A concert is nothing without its performers! Students from every grade level will be performing in this concert. There are five (5) groups of choirs Heritage has to offer: Treble, Men’s, Heritage Singers, Women’s chorale, and T.W.E.L.V.E. Each group provides unique talents and sound to the yearly concerts.
“I am very excited for the concert,” said Nicole Murphy, a member of T.W.E.L.V.E. “I really like being able to contribute to a group and have amazing sound come from that.”
T.W.E.L.V.E., though it is the highest level choir at Heritage, is not the only one with significant talent. Even the non-audition treble choir has some amazing people.
“I do plan to stay in choir for the rest of my high school years, and I do want to pursue [a career] in music,” said Chynna Carter, a freshman in treble choir.
Each choir will perform a unique collection of songs and at the end every performer as well as some audience members will perform the Hallelujah Chorus by Handel.
“I think everyone’s gonna do really well … I’ve made some of my best friends in choir,” said Eva Heinz, a member of Heritage Singers.
Whether your family member is performing or not, come to the winter choir concert! It will be on December 19th at 7pm so don’t be late! Come listen to the talents of our students and maybe join in the festivities. We hope to see you there!
