Shang-Chi is one of Marvel’s newest characters. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a movie based around the backstory of Shang-Chi. The movie was released on September 3rd, 2021. Ever since its release, it has blown up, and made a huge impact on the Asian community, as it is the first MCU movie ever to have an Asian lead. The movie has made over 300 million dollars since its release. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is about a boy who escaped from his home as a kid to live a normal life after being trained all his childhood to become an assassin. Years later, he is taken back to his childhood home by his dad, where he tells Shang-Chi and his sister, Xialing about the Ten Rings organization, and the reason why he’s involved with it. This movie is definitely in my top 10 for MCU movies, solely because of the representation and the storyline. All of the fight scenes are amazingly choreographed, along with the casting. I feel the casting is perfect for this movie, and I honestly have no criticism about this film. Without exaggerating, I’d rate this movie 10/10 rings. I have watched it multiple times already, and I recommend you watch it if you haven’t already. I believe this movie has brought more awareness to Asians in the industry, and that is a big step towards the future of the Asian community.
