Amna Farooq, Staff Writer

With the fast development of AI there are many different things AI can accomplish. Many people are scared that one day AI will replace humans. How does AI affect our everyday lives? In this day and age AI can do almost anything from chess-playing computers to self-driving cars. There are many benefits to AI like its use for Voice assistants, image recognition for face unlock in cell phones, and ML-based financial fraud detection. But in the near future AI will take over tech jobs like Coders, computer programmers, software engineers, data analysts and even media jobs like technical writing and journalism.

ChatGPT only being a few months old, originally launched in November 2022 is an open chatbot created by OpenAI. This chatbot has unique features like writing essays, answering basic questions and writing recipes. In an attempt to catch up with this AI tool google has started testing its own chatbot. Now how do these products affect our daily lives well it can be seen that these products have gone viral all over social media for human-like ability to write incredible essays. While it makes things easier for students it takes away there need to learn basic writing skill because it is being given to them easily.

Heritage Student Opinions on AI and Chatbots:

“I personally think that AI can never take the place of humans but will be used to make our lives easier, I don’t know if the is a good or bad thing. I have heard of the Chatbots but never used one I feel like if I have the skill to write my own essays I should show them instead of using AI to do it, what is my purpose then?”- Anonymous
