Lucy Tiokeng, Staff Writer

Matthew is currently a freshman on the Heritage track and field team. Tiokeng has also just finished his first season of indoor track during the winter. Tiokeng competes in the throwing events that consist of the shot put, and the discus throw. Tiokeng has said one of the most difficult components of throwing would have to be maintaining and improving his form. Tiokeng has said “One thing I really like about going to [track] meets is talking to different throwers in the DMV area.” Overall, Tiokeng has enjoyed competing in the sport and believes he can achieve the goals he’s set for himself in track and field.
