The different regions offer unique sightseeings that offer people that like mountains or oceans to look at.
One such place is Westmoreland State Park. It’s located in the Coastal Plain region. The park offers many activities to do with your loved ones such as fossil hunting, fishing, and hiking on beautiful trails. It offers cabins to stay, allowing people to stay overnight or as long as they want.
A beautiful place to visit with amazing scenery is Luray Caverns. It’s in the Valley region specifically in the Shenandoah Valley. The Luray Caverns present beautiful sightings of crystals of multiple colors like pink, white, and amber. It also has an amazing view of vibrant cyan pools. The Cavern also offers souvenirs unique to the place.
Another place where you can visit a variety of animals is the Virginia Animal Safari. It’s on the hill on the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Safari has a drive-through area where you can feed the animals as you drive by, and it also has areas where you can go see the animals by walking around. It has all kinds of animals to see like giraffes, penguins, rhinos, and tigers. The area also offers feeding to the giraffes, so you’re able to see them face-to-face!
A place where you get to mountain bike is Spearhead Trails. Its location is on the Appalachian Plateau. The place contains 7 trails where you can mountain bike or hike. It’s rich in nature containing a variety of greenery and a beautiful view from the top. The Spearhead Trails also offers horseback riding.
Ever wanted fresh fruit where you pick it yourself, Carter Mountain Orchard is the place. It’s located in the Piedmont region. It has a bakery where they sell fresh desserts; it also has an ice cream shop. The main attraction is getting to fruit pick. Depending on the season, you can pick apples, peaches, or sweet cherries.
Virginia has many places that offer beautiful views to spend time with your loved ones or by yourself. They all offer different types of activities that are entertaining. Find the time to spend it outside and enjoy the landscapes under the sun.
