On April 18th-19th, 2026, Leesburg, VA is having their 36th annual flower festival. The festival is free and open to the public, and it starts at 10am. This festival takes the historic downtown Leesburg to a whole new level. The streets are filled with colorful spring flowers and delicious, fresh food trucks. There are so many friendly local vendors looking to advertise their products such as plants, gardening tools, food, crafts, and more. It is family and pet friendly.
Since this event is family friendly, they provide lots of entertainment. On the Leesburg Town Green, they offer arts and crafts for kids of all ages. At the Veterinary Clinic on Catoctin, people can come and adopt a stuffed animal. Kiwani Club and the Woman´s Club, both on Market Street, have spring painting on canvas, and anyone is welcome. There will also be live music and dancing performances that no one would want to miss that can be found on The Garden Patch. Similarly, on the Courthouse Lawn, they have live indie singer/songwriters come and perform. There will great live music all weekend long.
Among all these vendors and trucks in the streets, the regular stores are also open. If you are looking for a sweet treat, Gruto´s has soft serve ice cream and a million different toppings. Gruto´s will have Cherry Blossom soft serve, which is a seasonal limited flavor. They also offer a wide variety of cold beverages. Mocatina´s is similar but with a larger assortment of treats. Moreover, Mocatina´s will have seasonal macarons and specialty loose-leaf tea. There are also many retail stores with clothing and trinkets. The Sunflower Shack, Zest Clothing Co. and The Lucky Knot will be open and ready to welcome customers with Zest offering a 30% discount on one full priced item and The Sunflower Shack offering 10% off on all garden themed items.
Once things settle down and hunger kicks in, there is a Rooftop Beer Garden on West Market Street. From up there, there is a beautiful view of the town. The Black Hoof Brewing Company will have two seasonal floral seltzers: Orange Blossom and Lavender Lemon. Many other restaurants will have specialty food and drink that will only last a short while, so go try it out while it is still here!
There are many ways to park to avoid downtown traffic. There will be free shuttles going into downtown from the Ida Lee Festival Field. Wheelchair lifts are available, and this can be accessed off of North King Street/Route 15. There will also be three parking garages available in downtown Leesburg: Pennington Garage at 210 Church Street NE, Town Garage 10 at Loudoun Street SW, and County Garage at 1 Harrison Street SE.
