Movie Review: The Noel Diary

Movie Review: The Noel Diary

I went into this movie with little expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. It began by following the mundane life of a famous author, Jacob Turner, who was expecting to keep himself company throughout the holiday season. Summoned by a call from his lawyer about his late mother’s property that was passed down to him, he began to relive his childhood memories of his parents’ separation and his nanny, Noel, that took care of him during difficult times. While unpacking boxes in his childhood home, he coincidentally ran into Noel’s daughter who was in search of Noel after being separated from her at birth. With the help of her mother’s diary that Jacob found in a cardboard box, they were able to find her mother…..and love. While this movie was generally cliche and lacked both depth and realistic acting, it was fun to watch. I would give it a 6.45/10.
