Erica Ellison, Staff Writer

It has come the time that our seniors will retire their Heritage Journalism careers. This story is to celebrate all that they have done throughout this school year!

Starting off with our first Co- Editor in Chief, Emma Sihavong. Emma’s favorite journalism memory was in her junior year of taking this class. She loved the whole year because of her friends in the class, Jake, Tristan,  Mason and Kayla who she had met that year. Next year, Emma will be attending the University of Pittsburgh to major in political science and minor in journalism. From there, she would like to move her college career to law school to get a degree there.

Next is our other Co- Editor in Chief, Tristan Hasseman. Tristan’s favorite journalism memories were seeing a story that he wrote on another website or hanging up the Toilet Times around the school. Next Year, Tristan will be attending Duquesne University where he will be in the Honors College to study journalism.

Next is Cole Broyhill. Cole’s favorite journalism memory is his table from his junior year where he sat with Jake, Mason, Emma, and Tristan. Next year, Cole will be attending Northern Virginia Community College and plans on coaching the track team and later going into data center operations.

Next up is Rachael Hargis. Rachael’s favorite journalism memory was watching CNN 10 because she learned a lot in a short amount of time. Next year, Rachael will be attending Virginia Tech to study clinical psychology/psychiatry. After that, she would like to either get her phD or go to medical school.

Next is Will Pennington. Will’s favorite journalism memory was the Christmas party we had because of the gift swap game we did. Next year, Will will be attending West Virginia University to study sports journalism.

Next we have Inaaya Malik. Inaaya’s favorite journalism memory was the creating and distributing of the Toilet Times. Next year, Inaaya will be attending Northern Virginia Community College and plans on majoring in journalism and english.

Last there is me, Erica Ellison. My favorite memory, out of the many, has to be becoming the party planning committee and planning/ helping with all of our amazing journalism parties. Next year, I will be attending West Virginia University to study general business and later narrow my field of study to marketing or hospitality and tourism. I hope to one day use my degree to start a business of my own.
