Shimmer is the second book to the Immortals series by Alyson Noël. It is the next part to book one Radiance.The book revolves around Riley, Bodhi and Buttercup going on vacation to take a break but end up encountering Rebecca who is a ghost and is torturing other ghosts/soul because of her anger of being murdered during a slave revolt and is getting revenge as a ghost. Throughout Riley’s journey to help Rebecca she faces many different difficulties. Overall the story was far more interesting than the first book. The pace of the story was faster and it had more depth. If I were to rate this book I would give it an 8/10. It was okay but not my favorite book of the series I would say the next book Dreamland is better. There are 4 books in the series I personally think they get better each time. I definitely enjoyed it more than Radiance. It is generally a decent and quick read.
