Nikki Bejjanki, a sophomore who is 15 years old, has recently finished her first cross-country season. Working to improve her running abilities and having the opportunity to showcase her skills are her favorite aspects of cross country. While Bejjanki just sees cross country as a sport, she said that it will benefit her in the future in terms of changing her lifestyle and “running away from criminals”. So why, among all the sports, did Bejjanki choose to join cross country? Bejjanki has always enjoyed jogging, but she also wanted to get better at it. So when she was given the opportunity to join the Heritage cross country team after submitting a late physical report, she made sure to perform admirably and represent Heritage.
